Baader T2 Star Diagonal Prism with BBHS Coating

This T-2 / 90-degree star diagonal prism is crafted with BaK4 glass that features Baader’s proprietary 7-Layer Multi-Coatings, ensuring the image is bright and full of contrast. You will experience extremely low scatter and high contrast images with this one-of-a-kind prism diagonal.

Baader’s T-2 Star Diagonal Prism is oversized, providing you an oversized full clear aperture of 34 mm (1.34″)! The skillfully crafted aluminum housing provides a stress-free mounting and precise location for the prism, unlike the typical weak plastic or coarsely cast housings found on other diagonals. The prism is made in accordance to Zeiss-norms: multi-coated, solid metal case, and both sides T-2 connection threads. This results in an extremely short design and makes it adaptable to each type of telescope system. Not only are the housing and prism expertly designed, but the planarity and conformity of the prism faces are about 5x better than standard prisms in plastic housings!

The T-2 Star Diagonal Prism has standard T-2 threads at the input and output faces, which is provided as a basic component (without any input or output fittings). This gives you the opportunity to use the diagonal as a component along with the other Baader T-2 accessories, such as the VIP Modular Barlow or digital cameras. This also allows you to configure the diagonal for your exact set-up, like fitting 2″ or 1.25″ eyepieces and focusers.
