The SkyHunter offers precise GoTo capability, controlled by either your smartphone over the SkyHunters built-in WiFi, via a hand controller (sold separately), or over USB to your computer. The mount is actuated by dual-axis servomotors with optical encoders for high precision tracking. The included tripod, pier and equatorial mount allow you to easily keep your target centered throughout your viewing session. The full ASCOM compatibility, WIFI control, and rechargeable battery make for a capable guiding mount setup that can be effortlessly transported to your favorite viewing location.

Despite the iOptron SkyHunter’s impressive 11lb payload carrying capacity, the mount is easily carried to your sky watching location due to its low 2.9lb weight, while still being strong enough to handle smaller sized refractor telescopes or DSLR cameras and lenses of up to 11lbs. The included pier extension allows for undisturbed viewing across the entire sky. With four distinct tracking speeds, this mount will allow for sidereal (1x), 1/2x, Solar and Lunar visual observing and astrophotography.

All you need to add is your telescope or DSLR camera. The included 1.25″ stainless steel tripod and pier-extension complete the iOptron SkyHunter system, giving you everything you need to start tracking the sky.
