PrimaLuceLab Guide Rings PLUS 80mm

If you want to install a guide telescope in parallel to the main one, guide rings offer the simplest and cheapest solution to make this. The Guide rings PLUS 80mm offer a high build quality and all the features useful for this application, allowing you to install guide telescopes such as 60mm diameter refractors.

Like all the other elements of the PLUS series, these guide rings are made with high mechanical precision (built with CNC machines from aluminum block) and specially designed to enable you to easily install other mechanical elements such as support rings, plates or dovetail clamps.

The guide rings PLUS 80mm are part of our system PLUS (Prima Luce Universal System) which includes many guide rings, support rings, plates and dovetail clamps to offer you the maximum freedom to build your mechanical system of support, depending on the application that you want to achieve. You can install the guide rings PLUS 80mm directly above the EAGLE using the 2 additional plates (which provide a flat base for optimal connection) and the 4 screws M5x12 supplied in the package.

You can install the guide rings PLUS 80mm also above the PLUS support rings or above the PLUS Vixen or Losmandy style dovetail plate by using the 4 M6x12 screws supplied in the package.

Each component of the PLUS system is made of aluminum blocks that are high precision CNC machined. The aluminum is then sandblasted to achieve a very smooth surface finish and is anodized (hard anodizing) to increase the hardness of the material and protect it from oxidation. If you have other brands mechanical accessories, you can still use all the elements of the PLUS system. Indeed we have provided a central threaded hole (M6) that allows, for example, to connect on these guide rings on third party dovetail plates or support rings through a single screw.
