Fujifilm Announces Development of Its First Filmmaking Camera, the “FUJIFILM GFX ETERNA”

Tokyo, November 12, 2024 FUJIFILM Corporation has revealed the development of its first dedicated filmmaking camera, the “FUJIFILM GFX ETERNA,” slated for release in 2025. This camera will be equipped with the large-format “GFX 102MP CMOS II HS” sensor, approximately 1.7 times the size of a 35mm sensor, alongside the high-speed “X-Processor 5” image engine. This combination will enable filmmakers to capture rich, lifelike visuals while offering enhanced flexibility in post-production. Both technologies are also featured in the acclaimed “FUJIFILM GFX100 II,” known for its impressive 102MP image quality.

The “GFX ETERNA” will make its debut as a reference exhibit at “InterBEE 2024,” a major media event running from November 1315, 2024.
