Its wide-to-normal focal length range allows for a lighter gear loadwithout compromising optical performance.

Engineered with 17 elements in 11 groupsincluding four aspherical and four Special Low Dispersion elementsthe lens effectively minimizes flare, ghosting, and chromatic aberrations. Autofocus is driven by Sigmas high-speed, quiet linear actuator, while the enhanced manual focus system includes a responsive click-and-lock mechanism for greater control.

For L-Mount users, the lens also supports selectable linear or non-linear focus ring operation, with customizable rotation angles from 120 to 720, offering precise manual control tailored to the operators preference.
