Blackmagic Design PYXIS Monitor Kit

The Blackmagic Design PYXIS Monitor Kit is a highly versatile monitoring solution for both the Blackmagic Design PYXIS and URSA Cine Camera Lineup. This is much more than just an external monitor, it is effectively a powerfull extension of your camera with a touchscreen interface that allows you to control camera functions and features. The Blackmagic Design PYXIS Monitor can easily be attached to the camera as a large viewfinder or mounted onto a rig for improved focusing and framing using the multiple mounting points.

The Blackmagic Design PYXIS Monitor Kit comes with a clip-on sunshade, fixed and swivel mounts, a dovetail shoe with mounting screws, and a USB-C viewfinder cable that connects to your camera.

The Blackmagic Design PYXIS Monitor features a durable machined metal design that is designed for professional applications. This 5″ LCD touchscreen monitor can be used as an assist station, making it easy to monitor shots from anywhere on set. The bright tally light is visible from a distance when the camera is recording. The bright 1500 cd/m screen ensures that it is easily visible, even in bright sunlight. The included sunshade is used for convenience in bright outdoor use on a sunny day, while it also serves as a screen protector when not in use. On the rear of the monitor, you will find three customisable buttons to quickly access features such as zebra, focus assist, and false colour, designed for easy tactile navigation.

The Blackmagic Design PYXIS Monitor Kit includes a single cable between the monitor and camera. This USB-C cable transmits video, power, and camera control and connects to the camera and monitor using a locking srew on each end with screws. This monitor is designed for flexible mounting with its 1/4″-20 industry-standard mounting, and it works seamlessly with PYXIS cameras outfitted with accessories like rails and cages. The single USB connection allows for off-camera mounting on other accessories, such as cranes or gimbals, facilitating full monitoring and camera control even when the camera is not within reach.
