iOptron iPolar e-Polarscope

The iOptron iPolar e-Polarscope is a highly precise and easy-to-use electronic polar scope.

The iPolar is unique in that it can be easily installed inside the RA shaft on all iOptron EQ mounts except for the SmartEQ Pro. This keeps it nice and compact in your system. It can also be connected with adapters either internally or externally.

The ease of use is furthered by USB plug and play without any driver needed, no matter where you are in the world. Yes, that means this works globally with no need to set northern or southern hemispheres and no need for Polaris or Sigma Octantis. On top of that all, there’s no need to rotate the mount during polar alignment.

Featuring an excellent, respectable precision of 30 arcseconds, this polar scope brings your scope sights where you need them to be. The smart plate solving system is on point and we’re sure you’ll be happy with the results. Even under poor sky visibility, this will function perfectly with on-screen instruction during the alignment process.

Easy Install

What may seem daunting at first for some versions is really quite simple. Most of the external styles for the iPolar series are a quick plug-and-play (once you download the software, of course), but the internal versions require just a few more steps as you would imagine. The process is just a quick removal of the control board and a fewcables, plugging in the iPolar, and closing it all up!

Once installed into the mount of your choice, the smooth, snug fitting gives the impression it was supposed to be there all along!

Easy Startup

Just download and install the iPolar software from the iOptron website and calibrate the camera on the RA axis of the mount, and you’re basically good to go! Your computer should have no trouble detecting this device and will be ready for some plate solving alignment in just a few moments.

iPolarView

The iOptron iPolar e-Polarscope has a field of view (FoV) of about 13 degrees with resolution and alignment precision of approximately 30 arcseconds.

To top it all off, this device is compatible for use with a myriad of equatorial mounts so long as you have the proper adapter.
