The Nikon R1 wireless close-up speedlight system offers great flexibility and cutting-edge solutions for close-up lighting management. This system offers wireless control ease and is specifically made for use with compatible Nikon i-TTL SLR digital cameras, such as the D200, D70S, and D70. The master controller of the system is the built-in speedlights on the compatible digital cameras. The speedlights’ combined output with the camera’s built-in flash makes it simple to achieve the appropriate close-up lighting effects.

The system’s application and operation are simple and straightforward. It comes with two SB-R200 wireless remote speedlights and has four channels, three remote groups, and up to three remote groups that may be combined to provide creative illumination from the left, right, above, or below the subject. The SB-R200 speedlights’ 60-degree tilting capability makes them ideal for lenses with short working distances and enables you to achieve the right lighting on extremely close-up subjects.

For the tiniest lighting impact, you can even adjust the system’s flash adjustment or flash ratio. Up to eight SB-R200 speedlights can be attached using the SX-1 master attachment ring that is included. Don’t believe that your options are restricted to the SB-R200 however; for maximum adaptability, this system is also ready for the SB-800 and/or SB-600 speedlights.
