Orion’s 7.2 – 21.6 mm Zoom Eyepiece is the perfect addition to your telescope accessory toolkit! The optical performance of this eyepiece in Orion’s GrandView ED line of spotting scopes was so impressive that Orion decided to take it to the next level as an astronomical eyepiece.

With multiple magnifications at your fingertips, you’ll be able to quickly zoom to the correct power for lunar, planetary, and deep-sky observing to optimize the size and contrast of the object you’re observing. Please note that actual magnification range will depend on the focal length of your telescope.

As far as the overall optics are concerned, the 7 elements present in this eyepiece provide both exceptional edge performance as well as fully multi-coated optics. Extra-long eye relief is a welcome feature for both eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers alike, and range from 20 mm ( at 21.6 mm) to 18 mm (at 7.2 mm). Coupled with these excellent optics is a super wide field of view, ranging from 42-degrees (at 21 mm) to 65-degrees (at 7.2 mm). The 1.25″ barrel is threaded for standard eyepiece filters.
