Two transceivers are included in the PocketWizard PlusX 2 Pack, which offers a wireless method for remotely activating a studio or portable flash unit up to 1600 feet away. It’s also possible to activate several flashes placed close to the receiver utilizing their built-in optical slaves by placing one transceiver on the camera and the other functioning as a receiver on your remote flash.

The wide, illuminated channel dial on the PlusX Transceiver’s 10 channels makes selecting a channel simple. With the use of auto-sensing technology, it can switch between transmitter and receiver functions in an instant. All other PocketWizard radio slaves as well as flash units from Sekonic, Photogenic, Norman, Bowens, and Dynalite that have built-in PocketWizard reception are fully backwards compatible with the PlusX.

With triggering speeds up to 14.5 frames per second, sync speeds of up to 1/250 sec for focal plane shutters and 1/500 sec for leaf shutters are feasible. Connection to devices with or without hot shoes is possible thanks to the hot shoe on the unit and the 3.5mm sync port. Two PlusX Transceivers, one miniphone to miniphone connection, one PC cord, and one converter are included in this carefully packaged bundle. Also included are two lanyards, as well as a manual.
