Set the visual mood with Creative Look, which offers 10 customizable presets so you can capture the world the way you want. Selectable RAW image sizes and quality

Lossless RAW image compression provides efficient compression for smaller file sizes with no loss in image quality, enabling the camera to shoot up to 27 frames in continuous bursts. There are three lossless-compression image sizes (S/M/L) to suit any application, and a Light image quality selection that generates less data is provided for JPEG and HEIF images.

When recording 4K movies at 30p, full-frame 7K oversampling delivers 4K with enhanced clarity and detail.

S-Cinetone to easily create a cinematic look

Utilizing the same color science from Sony’s highly regarded Cinema Line, S-Cinetone delivers natural mid-tones that are essential to healthy-looking skin tones, plus soft colors and gorgeous highlights.

Advanced movie recording for simpler post-production

In-camera 10-bit 4:2:2 recording is available when using Long GOP or All-Intra compression9, making it possible to color grade for fuller, more natural gradations while generally providing greater editing freedom.

Log recording for powerful creative possibilities

The 7C II boasts an S-Loggamma curve that emphasizes gradation characteristics from shadows to mid-grey (18% grey), achieving 14+ stops of latitude10. S-Gamut3 and S-Gamut3. Cine color gamut settings are also provided. You can apply a custom LUT (Look Up Table) with a Log gamma curve to preview how the footage will look in post-production, or to even record footage conveniently with a PP LUT already applied.

Active Modeimage stabilization supports handheld movie shooting

Active Mode provides enhanced image stabilization for handheld shooting. A precision image stabilization unit, advanced gyro sensors, and an optimized image stabilization algorithm work together for exceedingly smooth, stable movie footage. Breathing metadata can also be used with the advanced breathing compensation capabilities of the latest Catalyst Browse/Prepare Plugin software during post-production.
