The FJ400-SE is Westcotts streamlined, AC-only version of its popular FJ400 strobeoffering essential features for studio photographers who prefer simplicity without sacrificing performance. Built with the core capabilities of the original FJ400, this manual-only strobe integrates seamlessly into the FJ wireless ecosystem, thanks to its built-in 2.4 GHz receiver. It’s compatible with Westcotts FJ triggers and speedlights (sold separately), making it a convenient addition to existing setups.

Power output ranges from 12.5 to 400Ws (1/32 to full power) in ultra-precise 0.1 or full-stop increments, delivering consistent results across a wide variety of studio needs. With flash durations as fast as 1/200 sec and quick recycle times from 0.5 to 1.0 seconds, the FJ400-SE is ideal for portrait, product, and still life photography. It comes with a 14.8′ US AC power cord for plug-and-play functionality.

The 6-stop output range and short flash durations (t0.1: 1/2001/300 sec; t0.5: 1/2001/1200 sec) ensure even exposures and creative flexibility. Front and rear curtain sync allow for experimental timing effects.

Integrated FJ Wireless Ecosystem

Featuring a built-in 2.4 GHz receiver, the FJ400-SE is fully compatible with Westcotts wireless FJ triggers and speedlights, offering 16 groups and 32 channels with wireless range up to 328′. Even in high-interference environments, the signal remains stable. Additional triggering options include an optical slave sensor and a 3.5mm sync port.
